So the text view used for the listview is one within the SDK it looks like this:

So if anyone knows where the activatedBackgroundIndicator could be put so that it would be used in getActionBar.getThemedContext()

I think the themed context should be used. I've also realised if I the main part of my theme and change getActionBar().getThemedContext() for getActivity.getBaseContext then I can change the color but I don't think this is the correct way. I've tried a few different attributes with no luck. I've been examining this more and when the adapter is created the context that is passed is getActionBar().getThemedContext() so I'm thinking if I can find the right attribute to assign to my actionbar style I can change it from there. state_pressed works in this situation but the currently selected item is still blue. I've tried numerous things, I'm currently using a listSelector which looks like:

Import. used Android Studio to implement the Navigation Drawer and I can't get the blue colour that is used to show which section we're currently in to change. Inside other package, create a class named CircleTransform.java This class is used to display the profile image in circular fashion. Create new two activities named AboutUsActivity.java and PrivacyPolicyActivity.java.ĩ. For these two we are gonna create activities instead of fragments. In our navigation drawer menu, there are two other menu items, About Us and Privacy Policy. Likewise create other fragment activities named PhotosFragment, MoviesFragment, NotificationsFragment and SettingsFragment.Ĩ. This fragment will be loaded always whenever user open the app. Right click on fragment package, New ⇒ Fragment ⇒ Fragment (Blank) and name it as HomeFragment.java. Overall I am creating five fragment classes. Create all the fragment classes needed for navigation menu. Create three packages named activity, fragment, other and move the MainActivity.java to activity package.ħ. These menus are used to render different toolbar overflow menus when the user switches between navigation drawer items.Ħ.
